Mr. Neell Young graduated with a Masters of Applied Science from the Institute of Aerospace Studies at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the Division of Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. In the middle of his undergraduate studies, he spent 16 months at the National Research Council working in the Composite Aircraft Materials lab studying the effect of environmental degradation on the fatigue behavior of bonded laminates. One of his capstone projects was done in collaboration with MDA where the task was to design a space probe to capture an asteroid. Since entering the Canadian Space Agency in the Engineering Development Program, he has worked in thermal simulations, mechanical/CAD design and attitude control simulations. In his free time, he is working towards an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) in piano performance.
